Kathmandu (Nepal), Apr 01 (ANI): Thousands of Nepali Christians held a mass prayer and rally to observe the resurrection of Jesus Christ- the Easter Sunday. Christians flocked to Bhrikutimandap, a common ground to hold conventions and exhibitions, to take part in the 'Valley-Wide Resurrection Festival'. Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is believed to have occurred on the third day after his crucifixion. The date of Easter hops around each year – typically between March 22 and April 25. The holiday falls on the first Sunday after the full Moon or following the spring equinox. According to the National Christian Federation, there are more than 14000 churches and over 3 million Christians in Nepal.
