Kathmandu (Nepal), July 21 (ANI): Dozens of Nepali students returned to Nepal by air from violence-stricken Bangladesh on Sunday. Upon arriving at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, the returnees were deeply emotional and visibly terrified by the situation they had faced in Bangladesh. Sadiskhya Basnet, who had flown to Bangladesh just three months earlier for her medical studies, was among those who had to flee back to Kathmandu due to the escalating violence and communication blackout in the country. According to Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an estimated three thousand five hundred Nepali students are studying in Bangladesh. On Saturday, the ministry reported that approximately 800 Nepali students had left Bangladesh for Nepal by air or via land border points.
