Kathmandu (Nepal), Oct 26 (ANI): The Nepal Supreme Court (SC), on Wednesday, ordered the Election Commission (EC) to ensure separate ballot papers for the federal and provincial elections under the first-past-the-post system. In its latest ruling, the Supreme Court also directed the EC to present the progress achieved in printing of the ballot papers for the upcoming polls. The Supreme Court ruling came in response to a writ filed by Rastriya Janata Party- Nepal's leader Sarbendra Nath Shukla. The Supreme Court’s decision comes three days after nominations for the first phase of federal and provincial polls under the direct election system. With the Nepal Supreme Court's latest ruling, the chance of postponement of the election, scheduled for November 26, is of high probability.
