Nepal polls: Vote counting underway at 135 local level units

Kathmandu (Nepal), Sep 20 (ANI): The counting of the votes in 135 local bodies out of the 136 that went to polls on Monday is underway in Nepal. Nepal saw a high turnout of nearly 73 percent in the final phase of the local-level elections. After the successful conclusion of the second phase of local elections, the vote counting of the final rounds of local polls is underway. But the major concern over the invalid votes is raised with it is expected to rise over. The tendency of invalid votes is rising simultaneously though the Election Commission has succeeded to reduce it in the 2nd Constituent Assembly election. In Rajdevi Municipality of Rautahat, 46 votes were termed invalid out of the counted 101.
