Nepal polls: 'Identity' becomes main agenda for RJP-N

Kathmandu (Nepal), Nov 24 (ANI): In Nepal, the Rastriya Janata Party- Nepal (RJP-N) has made the issues of identity, rights and respect as its main agenda in the upcoming Parliamentary elections. The alliance of Madhesh based parties has laid its focus on the Province no. 2 with candidacy in all parts of the country. The long time agitating party went for the final round of local elections in September after the government committed to take the amendment bill for further deliberations. It is now taking part in the second round of Parliamentary and Provincial election that is scheduled for December. In his manifesto, the RJP-N promised to make amendments in the constitution and ensure the citizenship and linguistic rights of the Madhesis. Also, the RJP-N has announced a compensation of five million rupees each to the families of those who lost their lives during Nepal's Madhesh Movement. Nepal, which recently held the local elections in three rounds, is scheduled to hold the elections for the Parliament and the Provincial Council in November and December. The first round of Parliamentary and Provincial elections will be held on Sunday in the high-lying districts.
