Nepal Polls 2017: Vote counting begins

Kathmandu (Nepal), Dec 8(ANI): Counting of votes started after the conclusion of the Parliamentary and Provincial polls in Nepal. The ballot boxes from 45 districts, which held the elections of 128 seats for House of Representatives and 256 for the Provincial Council, are being counted. As per preliminary results, the Leftist alliance of Communist Party of Nepal- Unified Marxists Leninist (CPN-UML) and the Maoist Center are leading with the Nepali Congress following it. About 67 percent voter turnout was witnessed in the second phase of the polls. The final results are expected to be declared on December 25.
