Nepal polls 2017: Polling held peacefully in Terai region

Brgunj (Nepal), Dec 7(ANI): Amid tight security, a large number of voters turned up to cast their votes in the Terai region of Nepal. In Parsa district, where the Madhesis were opposing elections, no untoward incident was reported. The Terai region has been in the eye of a political storm because the government denied equal rights to the minority community in the country’s new constitution. Many Madhesh-based political parties including the Rashtriya Janata Party - Nepal is in the fray. People in Madhesh region are expecting their demands to be met after the formation of new government.
