Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged new and eligible voters to register for the upcoming elections as the nation enters the final week to update voter rolls. In her address, Karki emphasized that democracy thrives on citizens’ awareness and responsible voting. Urging Gen Z and first-time voters, she said voter registration is the first step toward building “the Nepal of our dreams.” Meanwhile, officials say youth participation in the voter drive remains high, with women and differently abled citizens also showing strong interest. The Election Commission has set November 16 as the final deadline for registration ahead of the March 2026 polls.
