On Martyrs’ Day, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, accompanied by government officials, paid homage to national heroes at Shahid Gate in Kathmandu. The ceremony honored those who fought for Nepal's democracy, with wreaths laid at statues of key historical figures. The event, marked annually since 1951, included tributes at the Martyrs' Memorial and a ceremonial march-past. Deputy Prime Minister, ministers, MPs, and security heads joined in paying respects to figures like Shukra Raj Shastri, Dharma Bhakta Mathema, Dasharath Chand, and Ganga Lal Shrestha, who significantly contributed to Nepal’s democratic journey. Various programs across the country highlighted the sacrifices made by these martyrs.
