Nepal: MP wants 2015 Terai Movement report to be publicized

Kathmandu (Nepal), Jan 10 (ANI): A MP from the Madhesh-based party, the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal, Laxman Lal Karna has raised question about whereabouts of the report of 2015’s Terai Movement. The movement was launched to protect the ethnic and political rights of Madheshis and it took a ferocious turn and claimed lives of many people. In the parliamentary meeting on Wednesday, MP Karna demanded the report of 2015’s Terai Movement to be publicized. The report was formed under the supervision of former Justice of Supreme Court Girish Chandra Lal. : With the question raised by MP Laxman Lal Karna over the current scenario of the report, the speaker on Wednesday dragged the attention of the government over the issue. The Madhesh-Tharuhat Movement which claimed lives of about 100 people in its due duration of six months burned the southern plains of Nepal.
