Kathmandu (Nepal), Jan 11 (ANI): Nepal on Sunday celebrated its 304th National Unification Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of nation-builder Prithvi Narayan Shah. President Ram Chandra Paudel, accompanied by the Vice President, Prime Minister, and ministers, laid wreaths at Shah’s statue at Singha Durbar. In his message, the President praised Shah’s historic role in unifying Nepal, stating his vision laid the foundation for national independence and a shared identity. He added that Nepal’s sovereignty today reflects generations of courageous nation-builders. The former king’s remarks come amid growing political uncertainty, with renewed debates over Nepal’s future political direction. Prithvi Narayan Shah is credited with uniting the country with the support of all castes and communities.
