Janakpur (Nepal), Nov 09 (ANI): Nepal’s Madhesh Province Chief Minister, Jitendra Sonal, resigned on Saturday ahead of a crucial vote of confidence in the Provincial Assembly. Announcing his resignation during the assembly session, Sonal accused Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal of conducting the proceedings unilaterally. He said he decided to step down after analyzing the political situation in the House. A leader of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Sonal was appointed Chief Minister on October 15 after Satish Kumar Singh resigned. Despite having the support of five parties, several lawmakers withdrew backing at the last minute, leading to his exit.
