Kathmandu (Nepal), June 30 (ANI): It seems like Nepal is not taking the ongoing pandemic situation seriously as the restrictions on the public vehicles have been lifted by the local authorities despite third wave warning. Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur decided to operate public vehicles on odd-even basis. This decision has come after the consultation with the health offices based in the districts. According to the decision, public buses with more than 25 seats will be allowed to operate in the Kathmandu Valley from 6 am to 7 pm. The buses and other means of public transport are, however, required to follow health standards, keep sanitizer in the bus and maintain passenger distance in the seat. The public transports in the Valley have resumed their services almost after a hiatus of two months due to the prohibitory orders enforced to stem the further spread of COVID-19.
