Nepal government hands over reconstructed houses to tornado-hit people

Birgunj (Nepal), Sep 06 (ANI): Nepal Army reconstructed 869 houses for tornado-hit people in Bara and Parsa. Nepal govt handed over ownership certificates to authorities of respective districts. 29 people were killed after tornado struck the two districts on March 31. The natural disaster left hundreds injured and homeless. Country's cabinet assigned Nepal Army to rebuilt homes under People's Housing Program. However, Army couldn't complete the project by mandated August 11 deadline due to heavy rains in July
