Nepal celebrates Kukur Tihar to honoured dogs

Kathmandu (Nepal), Nov 03 (ANI): Locals in Nepal celebrated 'Kukur Tihar' as part of their five-day long Tihar festival. The festival is celebrated on the second day of Tihar festival in which dogs are worshipped and offered food.Both pet and stray dogs are honoured on the day. Dogs regarded as guardian and messenger of Yama, lord of deaths are offered garlands breads and are worshiped with vermilion powder and flowers.
