Santiago (Chile), Apr 02 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind addressed students of University of Santiago in Chile where he told them about the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Kovind said, “Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation, brought us freedom through a non-violent struggle. His political strategy rested on the moral force, a force that he called truth force.” He further said, “His life had several forces, each more meaningful than the other. For me, he was the ‘Experimental Gandhi’ define class and race boundaries to go to England for higher studies. He was unique in his approach. A close associate to Gandhi said that Mahatma is a combination of ‘kranti’ and ‘shanti’. This made him an inspiring illustration of courage and struggle- the courage to retain the clarity of thought and conviction. He also inspired many others who were leading revolutionary struggles such as Martin Luthar King and Nelson Mandela.”
