London (UK), Oct 30 (ANI): The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan organised the annual Diwali celebration at Trafalgar Square on October 29. The free public event featured Indian traditional dances, music, activities, and food from various parts of India that capture the festival’s spirit. The event showcased performances by artists from the city’s Hindu, Sikh, and Jain communities. Attendees enjoyed various market stalls and activities, including dance workshops, yoga, meditation, and puppet shows. Mayor Khan hailed the event as embodying Diwali’s symbolic victory of light over darkness. The family-friendly festivities aim to showcase London’s diversity.
