Hunza (Gilgit Baltistan), 17th Oct 2020 (ANI): The illegally occupied region of Gilgit Baltistan has been rocked by widespread protests. People are demanding the release of activists and other innocents who have been arrested and put behind bars on trumped-up charges. While shouting slogans against the local administration and federal government of Pakistan, the protesters said that people of Gilgit Baltistan were being brutalized indiscriminately by Islamabad. Any demand or dissent was suppressed with brute highhandedness. They have now threatened the authorities with the scaling up of demonstrations if all prisoners were not released before the scheduled elections of November.
