Colombo (Sri Lanka), April 15 (ANI): Amid the unprecedented and dire economic crisis in Sri Lanka, a massive anti-government street protest has turned into an all-night vigil as thousands of demonstrators gathered at the Galle Face area in capital city Colombo on April 15. This comes at a time when Sri Lanka is celebrating its New Year. Sri Lankans are protesting against the government's handling of the economic situation and demanded the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. With food and fuel shortages, soaring prices and power cuts, citizens are compelled to hit the road.
