New York (USA), Aug 02 (ANI): The Ambassador of India to the United Nations, TS Tirumurti stated three major areas on which India will focus in August - maritime security, peacekeeping and counter-terrorism. He said, “There are three major areas on which we'll focus in August - maritime security, peacekeeping and counter-terrorism. We'll focus on these through three signature events during our presidency. Maritime security has received a very high priority in our foreign policy.” Tirumurti further said, “We have never failed to highlight manifestations of terrorist activities across the world, especially now, for example, in Africa where it's increasing. We hope to discuss Secretary General's report on ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and Levant) and keep spotlight on this matter.”
