Washington, DC (USA), Dec 16 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in Washington, D.C. on December 16, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany spoke on desecration of Mahatma Gandhi statue during a protest against new farm laws. McEnany said, “No statue or memorial should be desecrated and certainly not that of Gandhi, who really fought for the values that America represents-of peace, justice and freedom.” “That desecration is appalling to see. It is appalling that it happened more than once and we believe the reputation of Mahatma Gandhi should be respected, especially here in America's capital,” she added.
