Madagascar PM inaugurates special exhibition on Indian Diaspora

Antananarivo (Madagascar), March 27 (ANI): The Embassy of India in Antananarivo organised a special exhibition on Indian Diaspora in Madagascar today. The exhibition was inaugurated by H.E. Christian Ntsay, Prime Minister of Madagascar in presence of Foreign Minister Tehindra Zanarivelo Oliva and Ambassador of India to Madagascar Abhay Kumar. People from the Indian state of Gujarat sailed across the Indian Ocean in dhows to Madagascar and today there are about 17, 500 persons of Indian origin in every part of Madagascar and play a crucial role in its society and economy. The exhibition was attended by the members of the Indian diaspora, Ambassadors, and the high officials of the Malagasy government.
