London (UK), June 05 (ANI): A coalition of human rights groups organised anti-China protests in London on Friday (June 4). The vigil outside the Chinese embassy marks the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre anniversary. The organizations who extended their full support for this include Remember June Fourth, Chinese Solidarity Campaign, Democracy for Hong Kong, The World Uyghur Congress, Global Alliance for Tibet & Persecuted Minorities and others. They shouted slogans against China’s communist regime for its repressive policies. Tiananmen Square protests were student led demonstrations calling for democracy, free speech and free press in China. They were halted in a bloody crackdown known as Tiananmen Square Massacre. The Chinese army crackdown on the protesters killed at least 10,000 people. Thousands of Chinese nationals were detained, imprisoned or went missing. Voice of the innocent people who demand for basic rights and justice was silenced and repressed.
