Brussels (Belgium), May 03, 2022: A group of rights activists led by Kashmiri Activist Jamil Maqsood gathered last week in front of the European Commission office in Brussels to urge the European body to put an end to the special treatment it has been according Islamabad under the Generalised scheme of preferences or GSP.GSP is a European policy under which it grants special concessions including less to no duties to economically weaker countries on their exports to the European Union. They held banners reading their demands of Pakistan’s suspension.Maqsood also demanded that the International community should also intervene in the political status of PoK and Gilgit Baltistan which continue to remain occupied by Pakistan. The demand came in line with Kashmiri struggle against Pakistan’s illegal occupation of PoK and Gilgit Baltistan region for over seven decades.
