Gilgit (PoK), April 06 (ANI): Journalists and media personnel took out a protest march against police forces in Gilgit. Recently, a journalist was tortured by police while reporting from the ground amid the COVID-19 lockdown. The government has issued special passes to media personnel to report during the pandemic. Despite it, several incidences of police brutality and in-corporative behaviour have been reported. Protestors demand an apology from the police for their impetuous behaviour. Freedom of Press in Gilgit Baltistan is at its lowest. Acts like these have left the residents without any hopes for a better future
