Updated:7 years, 10 months ago

Tokyo (Japan), Mar 28 (ANI): JFE Engineering operates waste power plants, biomass power plants, photovoltaic power generation plants, and water energy plants around the world. On March 2018 JFE announced the opening of “Global Remote Center” for the integrated monitoring of all the above plants around the world. During a test presentation, “Global Remote Center” was connected with plants outside Japan to demonstrate the process of remotely operating and to introduce various functions and features. JFE Engineering has consolidated various remote monitoring services into the “Global Remote Center”, also used AI and big data for the reduction of load and the automation of plant’s operations. By enhancing the capabilities of these remote services, JFE has established a system that can be used anywhere around the world where plant management solutions are needed. This view is from the control room of a plant in Yangon, Myanmar during a test demonstration. In Myanmar, the power grid is unstable and the power outage is frequent, this situation could affect the plant’s operation. To demonstrate how to handle such situations the expert operator in “global remote center” unplugged the plant from the power grid remotely and demonstrated instructions to switch to an independent electric power source. In developing countries overseas, it is difficult for plants to finances themselves thus they are more vulnerable compared with the situation in Japan. To help in such cases we offer management support including financial support and establishing infrastructure.“Global Remote Center” can expand the plant to be supported. “JFE Engineering” will contribute to the construction of a safe and secure social infrastructure by utilizing the latest technology in the area of infrastructure management and power business.
