Fukushima, Japan (ANI) Apr 16,: With coming of spring, more than half a million people will not miss visiting one of the country's oldest Sakura trees. It is 1,000 years old, documented with ancient letters and drawing shows. This tree has its own name, Miharu Takizakura. The tree is located in Fukushima Prefecture and has also become a symbol of Japan's recovery from the earthquake and tsunami disaster. Takizakura literally means “waterfall cherry tree" in Japanese. A suitable name as the tree stands 12 meters tall, with wide drooping branches spanning 20 meters around the tree, making it appear like a waterfall of cherry blossom.
