Iwaki City (Japan), Oct 04 (ANI): Two different Nissan manufacturing plants were raided by the Japan Transport Ministry officials on Wednesday as part of a probe into unauthorised vehicle inspections. The company has already called back millions of its cars due to Japanese recall. The Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer discovered this week that final inspections were being done by unauthorised technicians at several factories. The news led to mass recall. The re-inspection that has to be done will now need more than $200 million. While the inspection papers show names of certified technicians, the checks were being done by people who weren't officially qualified. The company is now conducting an investigation and the process will take about a month. The recall includes all the 386 thousand passenger vehicles that the company sold in Japan last year, which makes roughly 10 percent of its global sales.
