Jamaica, SVG appreciate India for reaching out to them: MEA

Frankfurt (Germany), May 22 (ANI): Secretary of East region, Saurabh Kumar said that India was being appreciated by Jamaica and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for reaching out to their countries even though being the largest democratic country. “President Kovind visited Jamaica between May 15-18 and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines between 18-20. There was an appreciation that despite the small size of these two countries, India being a large democracy has reached out,” said Saurabh Kumar, Secretary of East region, India.“Both these countries (Jamaica & Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) have an Indian diaspora. Jamaica has relatively a larger diaspora, over 70,000. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a smaller country and has a smaller diaspora of around 7,000,” he added.
