Israeli closed-loop cowshed ecosystem sets example for the world in dairy industry

Tel Aviv (Israel), Nov 10 (ANI): High-end cow farm in Volcani Center of Israel’s Tel Aviv. Volcani Center, a govt-run research institute, investigates everything related to the agriculture industry. It investigates dairy cattle, houses a model closed-loop cowshed ecosystem that has about 220 milking cows. The dairy firm is having all modern amenities. Every cow is having health insurance and the average production reaches 50 litres of milk per day. Prof Moallem Uzi, Department of Ruminant Science, Volcani Center, “Milk production in Israel is highest in world. I’m talking about dairy cows and our farm, average is about 11,500 litres per cow for 305 days, with an average of 55 litres per day. We’ve cows here that produce over 70 litres a day.”
