Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal: Donald Trump claims credit; US President Biden says, “Is that a joke?”

President Biden and Trump are both claiming credit for the successful negotiation of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal. Shortly after the deal, Donald Trump took to Social Media Platform ‘Truth Social’ and claimed credit for the historic deal. Taking to ‘Truth Social’ Donald Trump wrote, “We have achieved so much without even being in The White House”. Biden, meanwhile, stressed that the deal was reached under “the precise contours” of a plan that he set out in late May. US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller has also praised the “critical” role of President-elect Donald Trump's team. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Donald Trump, President Joe Biden for Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal. When asked if he or incoming Donald Trump is to take credit for the Gaza ceasefire deal, President Joe Biden responded, "Is that a joke?" Ceasefire negotiators reached a phased deal on January 15 to end the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas President Biden outlined the three-phase ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas, ending over 15 months of war
