International Buddhist Centre in Lumbini to strengthen Indo-Nepal relations

ACC-Gorakha, an Indo-Nepal Joint Venture company was given an 'Award of Contract' by International Buddhist Confederation for the construction of India International Centre for Buddhist Culture and Heritage (IICBCH) in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha in Nepal. Representatives from both Indian and Nepali companies, as well as members of the Lumbini Development Trust were present during the ceremony. The foundation stone of the Centre was done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the then Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba during the visit of Prime Minister Modi to Lumbini in May last year.
