India’s friend and former Japan PM Shinzo Abe passes away

New Delhi, July 08 (ANI): Former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe died in a hospital where he was receiving treatment after being shot at in Nara near Kyoto on July 08. He was shot during a campaign speech in the western Japan city of Nara. The former Japanese PM was attacked by 41-year-old Yamagami Tetsuya from behind. The police arrested the attacker on the spot. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met Abe on the sidelines of the QUAD Summit in Japan. Shinzo Abe became the Prime Minister of Japan twice, from 2006-07 and again from 2012-20.
