Indian wedding at the "India Day" festival in Moscow

Moscow (Russia), Aug 24, 2022, (ANI / TV BRICS): Olgy and Vitaly have been together for more than a quarter of a century. And recently they decided to get married for a second time. The wedding ceremony, according to Indian Traditions, is very colourful and interesting. The organisers of the India day festival presented such an opportunity to the couples in love. At the beginning of the ceremony, the groom makes his way to the marriage tent, accompanied by music. Inside he is met by an announcer who performs rituals with fire. The bride then appears. The bride walks around the groom seven times. Then they exchange, no, not rings, but garlands of flowers. The presenter accompanies each answer with a sound of a special instrument. Traditional music is also an important part of the ceremony. Traditional fruit decorations, sanskrit texts. incense ads to the atmosphere. Fire plays an important role too. Wishes for happiness, well-being and harmony conclude the wedding ceremony. The newlyweds accept congratulations and guests shower them with flower petals. Anyone wishing to take part in such a wedding is welcome to do so. Filling in an application form on the organiser's website and being legally married are perhaps all that's required.
