Indian fishing community protests against WTO's proposal to curb subsidies

Geneva (Switzerland), June 13 (ANI): As the World trade organisation (WTO) is drafting rules to prevent subsidies that endanger the long-term viability of fishing, Members of the fishing community from several coastal areas of India staged a protest against the WTO proposal. The November 2021 draft agreement has been in the pipeline for more than 20 years.
