India reiterates support to South Sudan in ensuring peace, progress

New York (USA), Mar 04 (ANI): India at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) reiterated that it will continue with the Government of South Sudan in its quest for peace, progress and prosperity in the region. Speaking at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of India's Mission to UN, Nagaraj Naidu said, "Funding gap of billion-dollar deserves immediate attention. We have taken positive note of activities of UNMISS in implementing its mandate. Mission should continue supporting South Sudan police forces in ensuring safety and security of camps."
