New York (USA) June 17 (ANI): India on June 16 raised concern over multi-dimensional challenges Haiti faces in the backdrop of natural calamities and political turmoil at United Nation Security council.Speaking on the present situation in Haiti, India’s Councillor to UNSC, Pratik Mathur said, “Recovery from the multidimensional challenges in Haiti has not been easy. The political and security situation, in the last four months, has continued to remain precarious.“The dire humanitarian situation has been further complicated by the prevailing situation of economic stagnation. In this context we note the recent efforts of SRSG in facilitating dialogue between the interim government and the civil society groups,” he added.
