India to raise global issues including terrorism, affordable vaccines at 76th UNGA: TS Tirumurti

Washington DC (USA), Sep 21 (ANI): India will use its voice to take up global issues like terrorism, UNSC reforms, and affordable access to vaccines at 76th UNGA, said India’s Permanent Representative to United Nations, TS Tirumurti while talking to ANI. “Apart from COVID pandemic and its humanitarian impact other issues may dominate the 76th UNGA. The global economic slowdown, terrorism, climate change, recent developments in Afghanistan, UNSC reforms these issue likely to come up in 76th UNGA,” said Tirumurti. “India as the leading voice of the developing world as well as the member of UNSC will use its voice to take up global issues such as climate change, sustainable development goals, equitable and affordable access to vaccines, poverty eradication and economic recovery, women’s empowerment and their participation in government structures, terrorism, peace keeping and peace building and UNSC reforms,” he added.
