New York (USA), June 16 (ANI): Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations introduced the draft resolution on a ‘Memorial Wall for Fallen Peacekeepers’. “In this time, more than 4200 peacekeepers have laid down their lives for the UN. It is therefore our responsibility to ensure that their sacrifice isn’t forgotten. India is deeply committed to this cause. PM Modi had said that we stand ready to contribute, including financially, to this objective. The ‘Memorial Wall for Fallen Peacekeepers’ won’t only remind us of the fallen but also be a constant reminder of the cost of our decisions. This resolution has served to unite us. Peacekeepers are not born, they are forged through the crucible of sacrifice,” said the Permanent Representative of India to the UN Ruchira Kamboj.
