London (UK), Aug 25 (ANI): The India Club, a revered meeting venue and eatery in London will be bidding farewell to its patrons as it prepares to shut down permanently on September 17. Founded in 1951 on The Strand, the India Club has held a special place in the hearts of many Indians residing in the UK. The club known for its association with India’s freedom struggle was established under the leadership of Krishna Menon and had Jawaharlal Nehru and Lady Mountbatten as its founding members. The Indian Club, since its inception, has served popular Indian dishes like butter chicken and masala dosas. The patrons of the Indian Club expressed their sadness over the closure, and they are seeing this as a loss for British Indian history in London.
