India, China reaffirm commitment towards border tranquility: MEA

Johannesburg (South Africa), Jul 27 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) officials held a press briefing in South Africa’s Johannesburg on Friday. The press briefing was held after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit. While addressing the press briefing Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said that India and China have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and tranquillity along the border areas. He also informed that an Indian delegation will visit China on August 1 and 2 to examine ways to enhance trade and exports.
