Jakarta (Indonesia), Oct 11 (ANI): Indonesia has over 50 million students and 2.6 million teachers in more than 250,000 schools. It is the third largest education system in Asia region. Recently the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia has signed a partnership with global electronics maker “Casio” in order to focus on the “STEM” which is an education curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Casio has large global market share of scientific calculators which help develop students’ study of mathematics. Casio had spent more than 20 years in Vietnam spreading out mathematics teaching methods using scientific calculators, and after achieving huge success there, Casio started in Indonesia two years ago the same efforts. Math game was also held during the signing ceremony between Casio and the Indonesian Ministry of Education. Students tried to answer each question using scientific calculators. This way mathematics is becoming more fun. Efforts for education improvement by Japanese company are giving various opportunities and encouragement to teachers and students in Indonesia and providing valuable educational environment for brighter future.
