Los Angeles (California), Nov 12 (ANI): Inspired by a social media campaign, a #MeToo march was carried through downtown Los Angeles. Hundreds marched to support victims of sexual assault and harassment. Men and women came out in open under the #MeToo about their victimisation by high-powered figures in the entertainment industry. Most prominent figures who have been accused include movie producer Harvey Weinstein, actor Kevin Spacy and comedian Louis C.K. Marchers called the abuse a pervasive feature of American life. While women made up a majority of the crowd, men also made a strong showing of support. The #MeToo campaign has encouraged men and women from all walks of life to reveal their own experiences with sexual abuse, and their stories of survival.
