Human rights activists raise concern over CPEC project in Balochistan

Geneva, Sep 23 (ANI): During a side-event at the ongoing 36th session of Human Rights Council in Geneva, Human Rights activists joined at a stage to highlight the deteriorating human rights situation as a result of CPEC in Balochistan. The speakers raised the issue of violation of civil and political rights, enforced disappearances, custodial torture and extrajudicial killings of political activists and civilians in Balochistan. Some of the speakers included Founder of Peter Tatchell Foundation Peter Tatchell, President of Pragmora Dr. Glenys Babcock and Baloch Republican Party activist Abdul Nawaz Bugti.
