How safe are minorities in Bangladesh?

Dhaka (Bangladesh), October 20,2022 (ANI): The Hindu community is the second largest religious group in Muslim-dominated Bangladesh, constituting approximately 7.95 percent of the total population. In recent years, the minority Hindus have been facing persecution at the hands of hardline Islamists in the country, despite assurances of safety and protection from Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
