Hospitals in Nepal filling up over Delta variant spread

Kathmandu (Nepal), Aug 04 (ANI): With the fresh mutant of Delta variant spreads out in Himalayan Nation exceeding cases of daily infection, shelter for COVID-19 patients has been set up at Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital. From beds to oxygen cylinders, everthing has been lined up following the growing cases of Delta COVID variant. Sukraraj Tropical Hospital which has capacity of 100 general beds patients have been admitted in 35 beds while 22 of its 28 ICU beds has been occupied. Other COVID-19 unified hospitals are Bir Hospital, Patan Hospital and Armed Police Force and others. On Tuesday alone, the Himalayan Nation recorded 2448 new cases of infection while the recovery for the day stood at 1994 with 24 deaths. In recent weeks, number of confirmed cases has continued to swell further.
