US, Jan 16 (ANI): Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy pulled out of the White House race on January 16. He endorsed Trump after his longshot bid failed to catapult him high enough in Republican Party's 1st nominating contest in Iowa. The 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur made the announcement at a press conference in Iowa on Tuesday. Ramaswamy gained attention for his outspoken debate performances and threw his support behind Donald Trump. Notably, GOP leader had earlier dubbed Donald Trump as the “best president of the 21st century”. As per latest figures by CNN, after 93 pc of results were released, Ramaswamy was projected to win 2 out of 40 delegates in Iowa. Ramaswamy had been one of Trump’s staunchest defenders against the four indictments levelled against him. Meanwhile, Trump has registered a landslide victory and is expected to win 20 of Iowa’s 40 delegates. Trump’s victory in his first election has also laid to rest any lingering questions about his hold over the GOP. It has also solidified his position as front-runner for 2024 Republican nomination to turn up against Joe Biden.
