Greece raises concern over human rights violation, extra judicial killings in Pakistan

Geneva (Switzerland), Mar 20 (ANI): Universal Periodic Review on Pakistan was held at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva, Switzerland. Participating nations like Greece raised issues of human rights violations. “We reiterate our concerns on the reports of extra-judicial killings and enforced disappearances. We also reiterate that Pakistan should ally with the comprehensive recommendation made by the committee against torture and the ones mentioned by the human rights committee in its review of Pakistan 2017,” Greece’s Representative said. Greece further urged Pakistan to take action and protect freedom of speech by taking measures against intimidation journalist and ensuring that the perpetrators of violence be brought to justice.
