Auckland (New Zealand), Jan 19 (ANI): New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, on Friday, announced that she is pregnant with her first child, and plans to take a short break after the birth in June. Ardern said she learnt that she was expecting just days before she took office. Ardern plans to take a six-week break, during which time Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters will step in. Her pregnancy is one of the very few examples of an elected leader holding office while pregnant. Ardern was only sworn into office in October after a closely-fought election. She's New Zealand's youngest prime minister in more than half a century and has become hugely popular in her rise to power.
