Johannesburg (South Africa), November 28 (ANI/ TV BRICS): Delegates from nearly 40 countries gathered for the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, marking the first time the summit was hosted on African soil. This historic edition placed the priorities of emerging and fast-growing economies at the centre of discussions. As chair, South Africa continued the agenda shaped by Indonesia, Brazil, and India, helping the group reach quick consensus. The declaration, adopted at the very first meeting, included 122 key points focused on preventing natural disasters, easing the debt burden of low-income nations, efficient mineral resource use, and advancing artificial intelligence. The G20 also urged the IMF and World Bank to consider practical support for developing nations, emphasising that global financial resilience depends on mobilising investment.
